The Intrepid 4x5 Hardwood Edition is the best looking camera yet. It's a modern rethink of the traditional large format field camera, available in sustainably sourced Walnut, Cherry or Beech wood. It has all the excellent features of the classic plywood camera but in a new beautiful form and color. It's super lightweight (1.3kg/2.9lbs) and incredibly versatile.
The latest generation is the most refined and advanced yet. It has precise zero guides, a full range of movements, a Graflok back, removable bellows and reinforced front standard controls with lockable zero stops.
All the wood in the Hardwood Edition cameras have been specially selected for its beautiful grain and detail. Each camera is individually cut, sanded and oiled by hand to ensure the grain and pattern of the wood matches across the whole camera.
Features
- The front standard has a full range of independently controlled rise/fall, tilt and pan movements. There are also guides for complete precision plus zero stops for accuracy.
- The rear standard rotates 360° for quick switching between landscape and portrai and has full tilt/swing movement. It also has a universal Graflok back for use with a variety of 120 and instant film backs (including the Lomography Instax Wide Back).
- The aluminum base and rear-triggered linear focus get consistent, razor-sharp focus and increased stability no matter what the conditions or lens size.
- The Fresnel screen is super-bright with a half-inch grid and an added lens port, which is very helpful with wide angle lenses.
- The camera can accept all standard Copal shutter style lenses from 75mm to 300mm (not included). 75mm lenses require a recessed lens board (3100454).
- Designed to take Intrepid 4x5 lens boards and compatible with Linhof/Technika lens boards.
