--- Photoshop, this amazing tool I think of as "a darkroom with a window", makes it possible to create images limited only by time and imagination. But because of the possiblities some have lost sight of its use as a photographic tool. There are dozens of instructional books on Photoshop, but the irony is that none, at least those I have read, treat the images as photographs. It’s all tricks and use of filters to create abstract images or text that looks like red coral.
My approach and use of Photoshop is based on a lifetime working in a photo lab. Honed by hundreds of photographers this experience and expertise is the basis for this "Darkroom Guide to Digital Photography". The step by step process in the first two chapters will immediately put you in my league. The last chapter (on "painting") may take a bit more time.
This is the 1st of a series of instructional booklets on Photoshop. ---
