The QWD Bleach is the last step before fixer in the ECN-2 process. Bleach converts metallic silver from the silver picture image, formed during color development, to silver halide compounds that can be removed by the fixer. Buying it separately from the full kit offers you the ability to include in your own ECN-2 recipe.
