The Pro Film Carrier 35 is a professional tool capable of scanning all 35mm film formats including half frame, full frame (standard 35mm), and panoramic sizes in a single capture while maximizing film flatness. Featuring smooth-running bearings, solid CNC machined construction, and a suite of thoughtful and modular accessories, the Pro Film Carrier 35 is the ultimate tool for 35mm film scanning. This kit pairs the Pro Film Carrier 35 with our Pro Mount MK2 which is a leveling platform to dial in your setup, mask off extraneous light and adds an anti-static dust brush to help keep dust at bay before your film gets scanned. The Launch Edition shown is limited to 100 units and has brass touch points!
An evolution of our Film Carrier MK1
Pro Film Carrier 35 represents the next generation of 35mm film carriers for film scanning with a digital camera. We started with the Film Carrier MK1 and sought to improve it based upon feedback from customers and many years of in-house use. The Pro Film Carrier 35 has gone through the most extensive R&D process in Negative Supply history with ideation beginning in 2020.
We listened to you
We listened to existing users when they asked for certain other features. A common request was an adjustable tensioner in the scanning guides so that your film doesn’t “drift” when you’re advancing film through the carrier. This is preset from the factor. This makes auto adjustments in post processing much faster and provide pro-level consistency frame to frame.
More than anything else though, we were asked for panoramic and half frame support. Among our goals was to include support for half frame and panoramic 35mm formats (alongside standard 35mm) all in one device with no compromises.
Modularity
This kit pairs our Pro Film Carrier 35 with one of our core Pro accessories, the Pro Mount MK2. This kit will allow you to level out your film scanning plane when you’re working on an uneven surface and adds an anti-static dust brush that your film passes through before being scanned. We also have a host of modular accessories being designed for special purposes with the Pro Film Carrier 35 to make this a true professional tool.
