This filter is very effective for when you want to dramatically increase contrast in your black-and-white photography. Notice in these comparison photos how the sky appears much darker when a 25A is used. In addition, this filter can also be used with black-and-white infra-red film (although we recommend an R72 or R87 filter to get the maximum infra-red effect).
