  This film combines speed, extended red sensitivity (730 nm) and sharpness all in one package. Maco CUBE 400 B&W film differs from other films in two important ways:

1. It has the antihalation layer on the front side of the film in the same way as microfilms, which are designed for extreme sharpeness. This layering means that the light does not pass through the film base and the image rendition is ultra sharp.

2. Maco Cube 400 distinguishes itself further with its thin (100 micron) polyester base, which is light blue toned (like high accutance x-ray film.)

Maco Cube 400\'s spectral sensitivity runs from 400nm up to 730nm and easily pushes up to 1600 iso speed.

Q: Can CUBE 400 be processed in Kodak D-76 or Arista 76?

A: Absolutely Yes! Here are your base developing times for small tank processing using Kodak D-76 or Arista 76 film developers, as given to us by Cachet/Maco:

* ISO 200 for 6 minutes 20C (68F)

* 400 for 8 minutes 20C (68F)

* 800 for 11 minutes at 20C (68F)

* 1600 for 13 minutes at 22C (72F)

* 3200 for 20 minutes at 22C (72F)

* 6400 for 25 minutes at 22C (72F)

* 6400 for 20 minutes at 25C (77F)

Q: Are Docufine LC or Docufine HC the best developers for CUBE 400?

A: No. These are not the best choices. Docufine developers are designed for high contrast films like MACOPHOT ORT 25 or Kodak Tech Pan.
