Canson was founded in 1557 and its illustrious history includes the prestigious appointment to Manufacture Royale in 1784 by Louis XVI and the invention of the Hot Air Balloon, made with Canson paper in 1782.
The unique qualities of this paper mill and their products have been embraced by artists such as Picasso, Chagal, Warhol, Ingres, Miro and Alechinsky. They remain the standard for today's artists.
PhotoSatin Premium RC consists of an alpha cellulose acid-free art paper coated with a structured polyethylene and a microporous receiver layer. This exceptional photographic paper has been designed to comply with the highest lifespan requirements. The surface aesthetic of PhotoSatin Premium RC is reminiscent of the original photo chemical papers traditionally associated with the Baryta market. This paper gives softened reflections on photographs. It is a great choice for black & white or color photography.
