Photographic emulsion is a silver-based light sensitive material that can be applied to any surface, exposed by an enlarger and processing in conventional black and white chemistry. It is virtually the same emulsion found on ordinary photographic paper but in a liquid form and can allow the emulsion to be coated on a wide range of surfaces.
Rollei Black Magic High Contrast Liquid Photo Emulsion is a high sensitivity and high silver content emulsion with rather short exposure times, even in large formats and maximum density is unusually high.
Rollei Black Magic 2 High Contrast Liquid Photo Emulsion RBM2 is a fixed grade 3 emulsion characterized by high edge sharpness, and a cold black picture tonality from its unique brome silver emulsion - even for the coating on glass plates suitable.
Features
NOTE: Only use dark red light while working with light sensitive photo emulsion.
Tip: There is no exact ISO for liquid emulsion as it can vary from application to application. Generally, the more layers, the more sensitive the emulsion will be. However, the more layers of emulsion applied to the base, the longer the exposure may take to attain the full range of tones. Two layers (horizontal and vertical application - the most common application method) should be around ISO 1-3. This is also dependent on what kind of surface the emulsion is applied to. As with all analog products, test for best results.
