PremierArt ECO Elegance is a clear embellishing gel used to give a personal touch to your inkjet prints and canvases. Made from the same material as ECO Print Shield, this non-yellowing gel will not go brittle. It is a water based gel that looks milky but dries clear. It also can be mixed with acrylic paints for coloration. ECO Elegance can be applied to add very subtle texture or a thick Impasto look to your art piece. With each stroke, the hand of the artist will make every print a completely unique one-of-a-kind collectible piece, adding value.
Inkjet Prints must be completely dry (minimum 24 hours) before coating with PremierArt ECO Print Shield. Prints must be sealed with ECO Print Shield before applying ECO Elegance Embellishing Gel.
If canvas is to be stretched, it must be stretched before applying ECO Elegance Embellishing Gel. If it will be mounted, the mounting must also be completed before application of ECO Elegance.
After the ECO Print Shield coating has completely cured and the print is stretched or mounted, ECO Elegance can be applied with a brush, roller, palette or putty knife. ECO Elegance must be applied in thin layers allowing the gel to dry between coats in order to remain clear. These coats can be built up creating 1/2" impasto strokes which add dimension and effect to your image. It can also be mixed with acrylic paints for color matching. This product is not compatible with oil based paints.
If the gloss level is too high or you want to match the un-embellished canvas surface; after the gel has dried, add a final coat of Matte or Satin ECO Print Shield over the top of the embellished portion of the canvas.
