The Intrepid 8x10 Black Edition MK4, is the newest premium 8x10 camera. Featuring a sleek modern design made from high quality 3D-printed parts and anodized aluminum. It is super lightweight at just 2.7kg (5.94lb.) with advanced features including: lockable zeroing stops, precise zeroing guides, a new thicker base and the introduction of a bail back system for easier film holder loading.
Features
- Accuracy and precision is key with this camera, without sacrificing simplicity. The front standard features a ruled guide and zeroing stops, allowing the user to fine tune movements and for ease when zeroing.
- As with all current Intrepid’s the front standard features a full range of independently controlled rise/fall, tilt, shift and swing movements. While the rear standard has a wide range of tilt both ways.
- Whilst being the lightest ever 8x10 at 2.7kg (5.94lb) the camera is incredibly sturdy and secure when set up and locked down. We have introduced a new thicker aluminum base and the precision ground stainless steel linear focus rails ensure maximum stability no matter how heavy a lens you use.
- The focus mechanism runs on linear guides for pin-sharp focusing adjustments. Controlled from the rear which is quick to use when under a dark cloth, the focus will lock as soon as you stop turning making it quicker than most traditional cameras.
- The rear standard now features a super easy to use bail back, for simple shake free film holder insertion. It is held securely in place with strong magnets and reinforced by 2 lockable clips on each side. Simply slide the clips up and you can remove the back for fast shifting between landscape and portrait.The ground glass is super bright with a half-inch grid and we have an additional fresnel that can be purchased as an add-on, a particularly useful feature with wide-angle lenses.
- You can use all standard copal shutter style 8x10 lenses from 180mm-480mm. You can also use lenses mounted on Intrepid 4x5 lens boards with the Intrepid lens board adapter.
- When not in use the camera can be folded flat making it really easy to transport.
