Tintype is an old process from the late 1800’s that was one of the first photographic processes that made it possible for the general public to have their portrait taken. Since they were reproduced on metals, tintypes were relatively inexpensive and it provided quick results. The emulsion had a yellow color so the image results looked old, now one of the inherent qualities on tintypes.
Rockland Tintype and Ambrotype Developer is a specially formulated three-part developer that gives the appearance of a positive image on a black surface. Makes 1 gallon.
