Manufactured with lifetime stainless steel springs and hardware with a precision acrylic base, this insturment calibrates the lens board and negative carrier stage to the exact same pitch/slope as the baseboard, resulting in three parallel surfaces.  The result is an accurate alignment of the critical optical stages.
